The Los Angeles County Department of Human Resources has been chosen as one of Government Technology’s “Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers of 2019.” The national award recognizes public-sector organizations that lead in technology innovation and process improvement. Recipients are chosen based on the effective use of technology to solve pressing issues, transform internal processes, and improve services to residents.
The Human Resources team consists of Lisa Garrett, Director of Personnel; Murtaza Masood, Assistant Director; and Roozan Zarifian, Departmental Chief Information Officer. This year’s award extends Los Angeles County’s past recognition. Mohammed Al Rawi, Chief Information Officer for the Department of Parks and Recreation, was named to the 2018 list for his work in modernizing the department’s systems and facilities. Bill Kehoe, County Chief Information Officer, was also named to this award in 2015 for his work transforming King County, Washington prior to joining the Los Angeles County team.
